Just breathe
Slow and deep breaths
Until everything is calm
Until your heart is in sync with your body and mind
Until the destruction and divide, the crushing and the slow falling into an endless pit…
Until this all passes.
Just breathe
And wait for that moment to pass
Only you can destroy you
Not the gush of uncontrollable thoughts in your head like a storm, the walls closing in on you
Not the throbbing in your chest like a dagger digging through
Not the rush of events and the pieces falling out of your grip
Only you.
So, just breathe
Because this is simply a moment not a lifetime
Whatever it is, time indeed does continue to move
And moments do pass and darkness falls but the sun comes up
So it doesn’t have to end at this moment.
So keep breathing
The only way to overcome is if you’re here in the next moment;
if you can wake up tomorrow
Slow, deep, steady, loud or quiet and calm, until it is all calm
All you’ve got to do right now is to just breathe until the dawn brings forth sunshine.
