You know how they say too much of anything is always bad ? If there is too much of something you should avoid, that is too much ambition.
Ambition is a strong desire to do or achieve something. It’s a drive. It is Paramount that one has a level of drive for them to achieve anything at all that they set their minds on. It is in fact the same drive that stimulates our creativity, ignites a firy energy, fuels the body and mind and often times than not gets us the results we so desire. That’s the upside. If infact we have a necessary level of ambition, we can achieve significant success from one level to another.

Dangerous ambition in my opinion is the unchecked kind that calls for achieving a goal by “all means necessary”. It is the kind that makes people kill in their struggle to hold onto power, wealth, etc. This kind of dangerous ambition doesn’t put into consideration who gets hurt in the process of one’s ascent to whatever position .
Nothing should ever take precedence over love, empathy, humanity and kindness. No amount of wealth or power should overrun conscience and morality. A human being can only eat so much – beyond which one begins to blot.

The world needs more unity and love, community and humanity. In the spirit of Ubuntu, people need people, people work with people. It is a phenomenon that works. It maintains that one’s development and the fall of others are not and should not be mutually exclusive. Infact, on a healthy journey, for one to advance at all, you need to lift as many people as possible. It is too much energy and counterproductive trying to lick down or pulling down other people as you attempt a climb up ladders. It is one way to move slowly and so you can only go so far.
Blessings.
