Loneliness and solitude.

Alone is not at all equivalent to lonely. You can be alone but completely happy and content with your solitude. Some people are so good at solitude. Solitude does not always translate to loneliness, an unpleasant emotional response to perceived isolation.

Solitude can infact be very freeing and rejuvenating. It allows us to clear out heads and think, focus and generally slow down in an extremely fast and instant world. In the right environment (which I haven’t experienced in a very long time) if you consciously medicate during that solitude it feels like you can almost reach inside yourself and hug your soul.

The tragedy tragedy though is when you feel engulfed and consumed by loneliness in a sea of people. May we always take notice of people who are hurting and in need of warmth. May we always be that light in a sea of people for somebody so they will never feel alone unless they choose solitude.
