” It’s not who we are that holds us back from brilliant success but who we think we are not.”
~???Author”
Today I was thinking just how we are aware and at the same time unaware of our power and brilliance. Many people have been heard saying or have caught themselves asking their heart and mind in that spiritual untouchable silent dark, ” Am I good enough?” Michelle Obama wrote about this resounding mental question so many times in her book becoming. It was one that resurfaced at every stage of her life and it is one that so many people around the world can so very easily resonate with. And this is because Everytime you feel pumped up to do something which is clearly possible, you begin to think of all the reasons why it could go wrong . One of the main reasons why we perceive failure at a distance is self doubt. The thoughts of who we think we are not and what we think we don’t have. Today I am a victim of that and I have been every single day. Even when the world sees you conquering on the outside, you know good and well that the ultimate enemy you are conquering at best is the inner person who doubts your ability to be that which your have perceived as a dream and vision.
In any case, whenever you find yourself stuck in self doubt, remember where you have come from and how much you have overcome and conquered.
But while you are still scared, do it anyway. While you are still doubting, the only way to find out how it will actually go is by doing it. There is a 0% chance of winning if you do nothing about that dream which you have but that chance immediately rises the moment you start. What we are scared of though is the chance that we will fail based on the negative perception of self that damns us down. Look, it goes the same way; the chance for failure is 100% if you don’t make the attempt . The only way to tell is by actually doing what you’re scared of doing. Then, you will not ultimately fail; you will grow and learn or perhaps unlearn and relearn something else.
Either way, do not allow yourself to believe the thoughts that say I am ugly, I am not good enough, I have no skills, I am not bright, I have nothing to offer…..
This instead should be replaced by affirmation towards self. It doesn’t matter if someone else is not telling you that. Look yourself in the mirror and speak all the positive things you believe about yourself. As for me; I am beautiful, smart, strong, passionate, loving, kind, compassionate, self driven, Pius, brave and deserving of love and success.
Showers of blessings.
