…cause no one knows you like you.
No one knows the baby in you that needs soothing like you. No one has experienced your joy like you have, born your sorrow to its depth, seen life through your lenses, felt the longings of your heart, dreamed the dreams of your mind, lived the insecurities of your childhood and youth, felt the fears of your heart when it flutters.
Because you can’t lie to yourself about you, your truth lives with you in a raw form that no one will ever know, or at least completely perceive and comprehend.
Get in the business of giving yourself grace, embracing yourself. While people will love you the best way the can and the best way they know how, yet no one can love you like you. People will learn through you how to love you by watching how you’re going about it. Every once in a blue moon, someone on the other side of this may meet a person that will love them into form even though they have never felt love towards themselves. They get someone who loves them into loving themselves. That’s the rarest gift.
I hope we can find the courage it takes to love ourselves with everything, to see ourselves in every part and love it all, especially the not so lovable.
Tips I have learnt;
° Speak words of affirmation daily to yourself
° Avoid speaking negativity into your life
° Offer kindness to yourself and others
° Forgive yourself- give yourself some grace
° Treat your body well: eat healthy, exercise, rest.
° Keep a Spiritual connection with God.
° Read and watch constructive material. Especially read
° Practice personal grooming for yourself
° Every so often, give yourself a treat (nice food, travel, buy yourself something nice, nature walk, go dancing, …
° Believe in and work on your dreams; they are valid.
